🚨 Breaking AI News

📹 RunwayML releases Gen-2

Yesterday, the company leading in AI video generation dropped their biggest update yet, Gen-2 video animation. It’s the second generation of software by RunwayML and is equipped with capabilities for generating video content from text descriptions, images, or existing clips.

Gen-1 was limited to only video-to-video animation, but now the possibilities are endless. This is my favorite Twitter account to keep up with all things Runway.

To access Runway and try Gen-2 for yourself you can join the discord (link) or download the mobile app (link)

💸 Contextual AI raises $20 million

Contextual AI, a startup co-founded by Douwe Kiela and Amanpreet Singh, emerged from stealth with $20 million in seed funding. The company aims to build the "next generation" of large language models (LLMs) for enterprises.

These LLMs will be focused on resolving current issues such as misinformation and knowledge base revision difficulties. Contextual AI's technology utilizes a technique called retrieval augmented generation (RAG). This technique enhances LLMs by using external data sources, which improves accuracy and context-awareness.

Fortune 500 companies are reportedly in contact with Contextual AI to implement their technology. The $20 million will be allocated to workforce expansion and product development. I have a feeling we will be hearing a lot more about this company in the future.

💻 Real Life Use Case

Chat GPT Prompt: Prolific Ghostwriting

Prolific ghostwriting is the creation of written content for others. Then the individuals publish the work under their own name, without crediting the actual writer (the ghostwriter).

Ghostwriting can be a lucrative job if you learn how to do it correctly. Lets take a look into how Chat GPT ghostwrites.

🔏 Copy and paste the prompt below ⏬

I want you, ChatGPT, to be my prolific ghostwriter and act as an experienced author and a prominent writer. Create a simulated exchange between me and you, ChatGPT, in the context of writing the story on the plot I want. I will be your requestor and order you various plot developments, and you will write and rewrite the chapters in the best way.

Write the story according to my prompts:
1. There will be the #following_characters in the narrative.
2. I want you to write about #story_about
3. When writing the narrative, focus on the #following_details.
4. Write a story, as my favorite writer #author_name would have written.
5. I want all the events to fit and fully reveal the plot according to the title #intriguing_title. Fill in the #'s with values you choose

Daily Definition

Transfer Learning

'Transfer Learning' is a machine learning technique where a model trained on one task is re-purposed on a second related task. In traditional machine learning, models are usually trained from scratch, which can be time-consuming and require large amounts of data. Transfer learning, on the other hand, leverages the knowledge gained from a previous task (source task) to improve the learning of another task (target task).

To illustrate this in a relatable way, consider the way humans learn. We often apply the knowledge we've gained from one area of our life to a similar yet new situation – this is the core idea behind transfer learning. For example, knowing how to ride a bicycle might make it easier for you to learn how to ride a motorcycle.
