🚨 Breaking AI News

Google Workspace is a great place to experiment with AI tools from a brand you trust. Google’s “Help Me Write” for Gmail is no exception. You can now have the power of ChatGPT right in your email folder. Here’s how:

  1. If you have not signed up for Google Workspaces yet, you can do so here. You must be 18 years or older, and use your personal Gmail address

  2. Launch your Gmail application and draft a new message.

  3. Next, locate the "Help Me Write" button, which conveniently appears just above your keyboard

  4. Help me write responds to prompts generated by you, so make sure you give clear instructions. Example: Write a professional email to my coworker asking for the monthly overview.

Midjourney introduced another one of its latest features, "Panning". This feature builds on the recently introduced “Zoom out” function and allows users to expand their images in any direction using arrow keys.

What it can do:

  • Extend an image by clicking the corresponding arrow key

  • Alter your prompt and multiple panning on the same image

What it can’t do:

  • Lacks support for variations on panned images

  • No high resolution when zooming out,

  • It cannot pan both horizontal and vertical directions simultaneously

Daily Definition

Inductive Bias

'Inductive Bias' in AI is the set of assumptions that a machine learning model makes to predict outputs when it's not given explicit instructions to do so. It's essentially what guides the learning algorithm to make predictions when faced with uncertainty.

Think of inductive bias like this: when you're trying to predict the end of a movie you've never seen before, you're likely to base your predictions on other movies you've seen, right? That's your 'bias' in making a prediction, based on your past experiences. Similarly, a machine learning model uses inductive bias to make educated guesses or predictions.

For example, if we have an AI model predicting house prices, the inductive bias might be that 'bigger houses generally cost more.' This bias helps the model make reasonable predictions even when faced with a house it has never seen before.
