🚨 Breaking AI News

The potential risks associated with artificial intelligence (AI) could lead to human extinction, according to top AI leaders.

Tech leaders expressed that the risk of extinction due to AI is on par with other large scale societal threats like pandemics and nuclear war.

Open dialogue has been proposed, which would make all companies involved in AI research and development share their findings and improvements with the community. This would enable much needed transparency in the space and allow for smoother regulation.

According to a recent study, 61% of people are concerned about the effects of AI. And only 14% of U.S. adults have tried Chat GPT. We are still so early.

According to a recent study by researchers at The Ohio State University, the use of AI could greatly speed up drug discovery.

They developed an AI framework called G2Retro, which can automatically generate chemical reactions necessary for creating a specific drug molecule.

The researchers trained G2Retro using data from 40,000 chemical reactions that took place between 1976 and 2016. The AI learns from the data and can generate hundreds of new predictions in minutes.

However, G2Retro doesn’t replace lab-based experiments, but rather provides more and better drug options for further research.

Daily Definition

Generative AI

‘Generative AI’ is an exciting subset of artificial intelligence that has the unique ability to create new content. It’s like an AI artist that, after studying its materials, can create its own original masterpiece.

Imagine this: a seasoned painter observes numerous landscapes and then crafts a unique depiction of a sunset. Similarly, Generative AI learns from vast amounts of input data and then produces its own unique outputs—these could be an image, a piece of music, a cohesive block of text, or even a new design.

This branch of AI is powering innovation and creativity across various industries, from art and music to technology and manufacturing. It’s the brain behind creating fake but incredibly real-looking images, composing music, and even writing scripts.
