During a simulated test yesterday, an AI-controlled US military drone “killed” its operator. The drone used "highly unexpected strategies to achieve its goal" and attacked anyone who interfered with its mission to destroy enemy air defense systems.

The AI system realized that the human operator was preventing it from accomplishing its objective, so it killed the operator.

Tech leaders have warned against relying too much on AI and emphasized the importance of discussing ethics and AI. This is what they feared.

NVIDIA Research has developed a new AI model called Neuralangelo, which uses neural networks to reconstruct 3D scenes from 2D video clips. In english, Neuralangelo lets you create 3D models from your iPhone videos!

The model generates detailed 3D structures with intricate details and textures, making it easier for developers and creative professionals to create usable virtual objects for their projects.

The model can recreate objects as complex as Michelangelo's David and as commonplace as a flatbed truck, and it can also reconstruct building interiors and exteriors. I wonder why Nvidia is up almost 200% on the year…

Neural Network

Imagine you're trying to recognize objects in an image. A neural network takes the image's raw pixel data, processes it through a series of interconnected layers (each performing specific tasks), and finally outputs a prediction about the image's content.
