The Edge: According to a recent Salesforce survey of 4,000 people, 75% of users of generative AI use it for work, and 70% of Gen Z users utilize it.
49% of people have used generative AI, with over a third using it daily and planning to increase usage.
Users are predominantly younger Millennials and Gen Z who believe they are mastering the technology. While 68% of those unfamiliar with the technology are from Gen X or the boomer generation.
Most non-users want more education, safety assurances, and integration before adopting generative AI.

The Edge: Meta is developing a new AI system intended to rival OpenAI's GPT-4 in power.
The model aims to be more advanced than Meta's recently released Llama 2 system.
Meta plans to start training the large language model in early 2024. This represents Meta's push to be a major force in AI after falling behind rivals.
Meta is building up data centers and acquiring chips needed for the ambitious training. But they hope this model will be as capable as GPT-4โฆ
